The tragedy went around the world: In June of last year drowned the daughter of Bode Miller in a pool. Now, however, the former US ski racer and his wife Morgan Beck are once again a bright spot in their lives. They have become parents again – from twins.
The sports couple Bode Miller and Morgan Beck had the opportunity to experience double parental delights on Tuesday. The US volleyball player gave birth to healthy, identical twins, as the couple said on the "Today Show". On the official Instagram account of the newscast, the two also immediately gave a first look at the sugar-sweet family growth in a double pack.
The so far still unnamed twin brother was therefore released in a home birth. However not as planned, as the relieved father according to "E! Online" should have betrayed. Thus, the actual midwives had only arrived when the birth was already on the stage: "When they arrived, my mother and I already held the babies in their arms," said Miller.
"That was pure magic "
The great luck: The mother of the former US ski racer worked for many years as a midwife and therefore could bring the twins into the world. "The fact that Bode was able to deliver his identical twin sons together with his mother – that was pure magic," is also quoted by the overjoyed Beck from the page.
From previous relationships, Bode Miller already has eleven-year-old daughter Neesyn and son Samuel ( 6). He also has two sons, Edward Nash Skan (4) and Easton Vaughn Rek (1) with Beck.
The pair made unfortunate headlines last year. Their daughter Emeline "Emmy" Grier, who was born in 2016, drowned in a pool accident at the age of just 19 months. The tragedy affected people all over the world. Sarah Connor dedicated the song "Airplane of Paper" on her new album "Herz Kraft Werke" to the deceased girl.
